Still a cold day, but the rain stopped and the clouds were deep. We started at Lincoln Park visiting the Zoo (free entrance) before I walked Downtown to see more Blues Brothers movie locations. The first spot was the tunnel in Lincoln Park, which is completely rebuilt.
From here I walked along the shore and had a great view to the skyline of Chicago with the skyscrapers blanketed in mist. It looked unreal.
The next Blues Brothers spot was the Chez Paul at N Rush St, which is now an office building. The nearby Water Tower was designed by William Boyington, who also made the plans for the Joliet Prison.
The place of the wagon free-fall at E North Water St is completely rebuilt into condominiums.
The Trailways Bus Depot is now a parking house, but the Oriental is still there.
The Cook County building as well as the Daley Plaza with the Picasso still look the same, well worth a visit, also the police car pile-up spot under the „L“ (elevated, the rapid transit system in Chicago) at N LaSalle St/Lake St.
After visiting other interesting spots like Buddy Guy’s Legend Club the weather finally cleared up and I went to the Millennium Park again where I spent the afternoon.
On my way back I took the chance to visit Wrigley Field, still home of the Chicago Cubs.
